Why 4% and 1,200 mg
Each bottle is formulated to a labeled strength of 1,200 mg of GHK-Cu at 4%. In 30 mL, that is 40 mg per mL.
A recent Qalitex-tested lot (DK25-CPD01-4) measured 1,255 mg of GHK-Cu by HPLC against the 1,200 mg per bottle specification. That result applies to the tested lot; the labeled strength stays 1,200 mg.

What is GHK-Cu?
GHK-Cu is the copper-bound form of the tripeptide Gly-His-Lys (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine). In cosmetic ingredient lists it is commonly called Copper Tripeptide-1.
Research has investigated GHK-Cu in relation to extracellular-matrix biology, collagen-related pathways, skin remodeling, oxidative processes, visible skin aging and tissue repair.
Limitations
GHK-Cu has a substantial research history involving skin structure, extracellular-matrix biology and tissue signaling. That research helps explain why Copper Tripeptide-1 is used in cosmetic skin care, but ingredient research is not the same thing as a clinical study of this finished serum.
Published evidence on topical GHK-Cu includes smaller human studies and broader mechanistic research. Modern reviews still describe important gaps around formulation, skin delivery and the amount of large human clinical studies.
