What Can GHK-Cu Serum Do for Your Skin?

AHK is a tripeptide made from the amino acids alanine, histidine and lysine. When it binds with copper, it forms AHK-Cu, a copper peptide used in topical cosmetic formulas for the scalp and hair.

AHK-Cu is commonly associated with the ingredient name Copper Tripeptide-3. It is structurally related to GHK-Cu, but the two peptides are not identical. AHK-Cu is more commonly positioned in hair and scalp products, while GHK-Cu has a broader history of use in skin and scalp-care formulas.

Neurogan Health AHK-Cu Copper Peptide Hair Serum contains 4,800mg of AHK-Cu in an 8% water-based scalp spray. It is designed for direct cosmetic application to areas where hair looks thin or sparse.

Laboratory research has examined AHK-Cu in isolated human hair follicles and cultured dermal papilla cells. These findings are promising, but they do not establish that this finished serum clinically treats hair loss or regrows hair in every user. [1]

Use this product as part of a consistent scalp-care routine. It is not an oral supplement, injectable peptide or FDA-approved hair-loss treatment.

Usage: Apply the serum directly to clean scalp areas according to the current product-label directions. Massage gently with clean fingertips and allow it to dry before applying other products.

Week 2 to 4

Month 1 to 2

Month 3+

Timeline_01.png

Week 2 to 4

What's Happening: The AHK-Cu is absorbing into the scalp and getting to work on the follicle environment. Peptides begin signaling to hair-root cells, supporting their ability to stay active longer. Scalp dryness and irritation may start to calm down.

What to Expect: You probably won't see visible changes yet, and that's normal. This phase is about building the right conditions underneath the surface. Keep showing up twice a day.

Carefully formulated with clinically studied ingredients and rigorously third-party tested for quality and consistency.

Timeline_02.png

Month 1 to 2

What's Happening: With consistent application, the follicle environment is shifting. Hair-root cells that would normally die off prematurely are getting more support. You may notice your scalp feels calmer, less dry, and generally healthier.

What to Expect: Existing hair may start to feel a bit stronger. Some people notice less hair in the shower drain or on their pillow. Fine "baby hairs" may begin to appear in thinning areas.

Timeline_03.png

Month 3+

What's Happening: This is where consistency pays off. Follicles that have been receiving steady AHK-Cu support are producing hair in a healthier growth cycle. New growth has had time to come in thicker and more visible.

What to Expect: Fuller-looking coverage in areas that were thinning. Hair that feels stronger overall. The difference between month one and month three is real, and it compounds from here.

Benefits Of Consistent Use

Follicle-Targeted Support

AHK-Cu was designed to work directly on hair follicles, not just the scalp surface. Research suggests it may help hair-root cells resist early die-off, keeping follicles productive longer.

4800mg: Double the Dose, Direct to the Scalp

At 8% concentration, this elixir delivers 4800mg of AHK-Cu per bottle. That's 2x the active peptide content of our GHK-Cu hair serum, applied right where it matters.

Calmer, Healthier Scalp

Dry, irritated scalps aren't great at growing hair. AHK-Cu peptides help create a more balanced scalp environment: less flaking, less tightness, better conditions for growth.

Works With What You Already Use

The water-based spray dries fast and layers under or over your existing products. No greasy residue, no reformulating your entire routine around one product.

Two Ingredients. Nothing Else.

AHK-Cu and distilled water. No sulfates, no parabens, no fragrance, no fillers. You can actually read the entire ingredient list in about two seconds.

Supports the Growth Cycle Where It Starts

Rather than masking thinning with volumizers, AHK-Cu works at the follicle level to support the anagen (growth) phase. It addresses the root cause, not the symptom.

Active Ingredient

AHK-Cu (Copper Peptide Complex), 4800mg (8%)

AHK-Cu.png

AHK-Cu is a copper peptide tripeptide specifically studied for its interaction with hair follicle cells. In laboratory research, AHK-Cu helped hair-root cells (dermal papilla cells) survive longer than untreated controls, suggesting it may have a more targeted effect on follicle health compared to broader copper peptides like GHK-Cu. Our 4800mg concentration delivers that peptide at a dose most brands don't come close to matching.

Supporting Base

Distilled Water

Because everyone takes this for hair growh- i thougt i will test this on my eyebrows.

When i was young i was plucking my eyebrows - thin brows were the ,,it thing"- but then they stopped growing when i was 20 years old...

Took a couple months, but using this once or twice a week and pairing with GHK CU and a dermastamp, finally seeing results that I never saw with typical minoxidil.

    Too Soon

It has only been a month and it's too soon to know it's efficacy. There's been no noticeable effects so far.

    AHK-Cu Peptide topical Serum

Purchased the AHK-Cu Peptide Serum. Application has been by spray daily; once in the morning and once at night. I also use it with a scalp massage gadget. I don't place as much in the morning since I will be at work and will dry blue (but not stain). Advice to let it dry before going to bed though. Have been using it now for about 2-3 weeks. Still too early to notice difference but will continue for a 90 day period and hopefully have visible results.

    THE BEST!

I've used many different treatments for thinning hair, I've started using their AHK-Cu peptide, 2400mg, went through 3 bottles and had good results. I'm about halfway through the 4800mg bottle and I'm seeing excellent results! Will continue using!

    satisfied

I am totally satisfied with this product. I think it is easy to apply and has no odor. The dark color will stain your scalp but wipes right off with a damp rag. I am only half way through the bottle so at this point I have not noticed any significant change in the spots I am applying. I will definitely order another bottle as my healthcare worker suggested at least 3 months and I am combining this with other protocol.

Company was easy to work with and arrived on timely manner.

Morning. Night. That's the Routine.

HowToUse.png

Step 1

Spray Onto a Clean Scalp

Start with a clean, towel-dried (or fully dry) scalp. Apply 3 to 5 sprays directly to thinning areas or across the scalp for broader coverage. Part your hair to expose the scalp where you need it most.

Step 2

Massage In for 30 to 60 Seconds

Use your fingertips to work the elixir into the scalp. This helps with absorption and gets blood flowing to the follicles.

Step 3

Let It Dry, Then Layer

The water-based formula dries in a couple of minutes. Once dry, you can apply other hair products: styling products, oils, whatever your routine includes. Apply once in the morning and once before bed; consistency is what makes this work, and most people start noticing changes around weeks 9 to 12 with daily use.

The Research Behind AHK-Cu

AHK-Cu is a copper-binding tripeptide that has been investigated in laboratory models involving human hair follicles and dermal papilla cells.

The strongest directly relevant study was published in 2007 and evaluated isolated human hair follicles (ex vivo) together with cultured human dermal papilla cells (in vitro). [1]

These findings are promising because dermal papilla cells play an important role in hair-follicle biology. However, laboratory studies should not be interpreted as proof that a finished topical serum will produce identical results in real-world users.

The current evidence supports continued research into AHK-Cu while highlighting the need for additional human clinical studies.

In laboratory conditions, AHK-Cu helped dermal papilla cells resist apoptosis, the programmed cell death that can cause follicles to miniaturize over time. Hair-root cells treated with AHK-Cu stayed alive longer than untreated controls. [1]

Who It's For

Who Is This GHK-Cu Serum For?

This is perfect for you if…
You're 30+ and starting to notice thinning, especially around the crown or hairline.
Your scalp feels dry, tight, or irritated, and you suspect that's not helping your hair situation.
You already use our GHK-Cu serum and want a more follicle-targeted peptide to add to the routine.
You want something backed by real research, not marketing buzzwords about "volumizing technology."
You prefer a clean formula: two ingredients, no fillers, no fragrance.
You've tried Minoxidil or Finasteride and want a non-hormonal, peptide-based alternative.
This might not be for you if…
You're expecting visible results in a week. This takes 9 to 12 weeks of consistent twice-daily use.
You have complete baldness in the area of concern. AHK-Cu supports existing follicles and works best where follicles are still active, even if they're producing fine or thin hair.
You're looking for a one-product miracle. Peptides work best as part of a healthy routine that includes sleep, nutrition, and stress management.
