I’m very happy with this product. It’s easy to apply, and at first, I thought it might affect my hairstyle, but it doesn’t. It absorbs quickly, and I’ve noticed a big difference in hair loss. Especially when washing my hair before, I was losing a lot, but now it’s much less than before using the product. I’m satisfied and will definitely continue using it.

I bought this for my son who just turned 50yo. He’s been noticing (me too) the thinning of his hair on the top. Shocked both his Dad & I have a lot of hair But not our fathers. So now my son is using the serum everyday & we’ll have to wait & see how it goes. Thx KF

They clearly know just enough inorganic chemistry to sound authoritative — they’re right that GHK-Cu can degrade under the wrong conditions, and that free copper ions are reactive. But they took those slivers of truth and inflated them into a doomsday prophecy.

Here’s the reality:

GHK-Cu is not inherently unstable or dangerous. It’s a clinically studied copper peptide used in wound healing and cosmetic dermatology for decades.

The pH drift issue is real in principle, but the rate of hydrolysis or oxidation in a closed spray bottle of distilled water is very slow.

The “releasing free copper ions that destroy DNA” line is melodramatic nonsense. You’d need orders of magnitude more free Cu²⁺ and direct UV exposure to approach that kind of oxidative damage.

A spray bottle with gradual air exchange and light-scattering frosted glass or plastic is perfectly adequate packaging for short-term use — not perfect, but nowhere near “designed to destroy your skin.”

Their post is a mix of textbook chemistry trivia, misapplied to a real-world formulation they’ve never actually tested. It reads like a sophomore’s overconfident lab-rant, not a credible safety assessment.

Even if some oxidation occurs, GHK-Cu doesn’t instantly fall apart into free Cu²⁺ ions. It transitions through intermediate complexes (GHK-Cu²⁺ → GHK-Cu⁺ → oxidized fragments) depending on pH and oxygen tension. The process is gradual and…
