Why copper peptides in a body wash?
GHK-Cu and AHK-Cu are different copper-binding tripeptides with different research histories.
GHK-Cu has a broader research history across skin, tissue and extracellular-matrix biology. AHK-Cu has a narrower evidence base, including experimental research involving human hair follicles and dermal papilla cells.
That ingredient research provides context for why copper peptides appear in cosmetic formulas, but it does not establish that a body wash left on the skin for 1 to 2 minutes reproduces outcomes seen in leave-on products, laboratory models or other formulations.
Why a 3:1 formula?
The body wash is formulated and labeled with 3,000 mg GHK-Cu + 1,000 mg AHK-Cu, creating a 3:1 target ratio and 4,000 mg total copper peptides per bottle.
The 3:1 ratio defines this product's composition. There is currently no controlled human study establishing a 3:1 GHK-Cu-to-AHK-Cu ratio as clinically optimal for body skin.
